16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son,
that whoever believes in Him should not perish
but have everlasting life.
Living in a society today where everything seems perfect,
perfect fashion, perfect families, perfect jobs.
And somehow we have brought that perfection into mix with God,
assuming that this big God demands perfection or nothing at all.
NEWS FLASH!!
Everything about the reality of Jesus’ birth was rather
perfectly messy. Being born in a manger surrounded by cattle and farm scenery, you could imagine it was not very perfect, from the people Jesus chose to hang out with wasn’t really the number one popular click groups, but those who everyone rather ignored, the rejects.
See the thing is Christ came to a messy place in a messy state to prove to us, that we don’t have to have it all figured out. That He accepts us with our mess, and loves us anyway.
He came to take our mess and turn it into one of the greatest message ever lived, that God sent His only Son to die on a cross for you and for me , to show us out of a mess, beauty can still be found.
